Amrut Two Continents 1st Release was matured in India, after which the casks were shipped to Europe for a further three years of maturation. It was bottled in February 2009. The nose brings suet pudding with spotted dick, some oils and banana milkshake. The palate is juicy barley and soft fruit with delicate but persistent spices, a light oiliness and some muscovado sugar, moving towards chocolate milkshake. The finish is long, with oak building very slowly, the spices still flitting about and vanilla taking hold at the end.
