Amrut – Two Continents 2nd Release

Amrut Two Continents Second Release is a whisky from Amrut, matured first in India. The casks were then moved to Europe, where the whisky spent a further three years maturing. The nose recalls suet pudding and spotted dick, with some oils and banana milkshake. On the palate, juicy barley, soft fruits and delicate, persistent spices come together, carried by a light oiliness. Muscovado sugar keeps the oak in check, and the middle ground moves towards chocolate milkshake. The finish is long, with oak building very slowly while the spices keep moving. Vanilla takes hold at the end.
