An Iconic Speyside 2011 The Octave 10 Year Old (70cl, 53.7%)

This is a 10 year old single malt from The Octave series by Duncan Taylor, distilled in 2011 at an undisclosed Speyside distillery and bottled in 2021 at 53.7% ABV. It comes from a single cask, which produced 86 bottles, in a 70cl bottle. The Octave series rests on Duncan Taylor's research into small casks, which give more wood interaction over a shorter time than large ones. After a second maturation in octave casks, the whisky is described as refined, with enhanced colour, taste and character.
