Ancient Age is a six-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from the 1950s, bottled at 43% ABV in a 113cl bottle.
The brand was introduced in 1938 by the Schenley company at what was then the George T. Stagg distillery. A Japanese firm, Age International, bought the distillery and brand in 1983 and renamed the plant Ancient Age distillery. Sazerac purchased it in 1992 and in 1999 renamed it Buffalo Trace.
