anCnoc 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt from Knockdhu distillery in Aberdeenshire, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky matured for eighteen years in a combination of second-fill European oak ex-sherry casks and American oak ex-bourbon barrels.
The nose opens with toasted bread, honeyed nuts, ripe peach and apple butter, with dried fruit, oiled leather and orange peel. The palate is full-bodied, with baking spices, fruit loaf, candied lemon, vanilla, honey and marmalade. The finish is long and warming, with praline, tropical fruit and baking spice.
