AnCnoc – Vintage 2001 (70cl, 46%)

This is a 14 year old single malt from the Highlands, a vintage bottling from 2001 in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. Vintage releases have become a tradition at AnCnoc. It was matured in Spanish and American oak and bottled non-chill-filtered and without added colour, so it may turn slightly hazy when water is added or if it is kept somewhere cold. The colour is vintage gold. The nose offers freshly squeezed lemons and ripe blood oranges, with creamy vanilla, ground spices and a hint of new leather. The palate brings a touch of lime honey, vanilla and a clear presence of chocolate, and the finish is medium with a spicy freshness.
