A rum from the Brugal distillery in the Puerto Plata valley of the Dominican Republic, made from a careful selection of local sugar cane and aged in American oak casks. The nose opens with vanilla, caramel and light spicy notes. On the palate it is soft, with dried fruit touches and a delicate herbal warmth blending with toasted wood nuances. The ageing gives an elegant character balanced by a pleasant natural sweetness and a persistent finish. It can be enjoyed neat or with ice, and also with chocolate desserts or intense, spicy dishes.
