Angel's Envy Bourbon is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 43% ABV. Mature bourbon is moved into used Port barrels for a further 4 to 7 months, and the Port residue adds richness. The original recipe is a marriage of bourbons bought from other distilleries, although the brand now also has its own distillery in Louisville.
The brand was founded by Lincoln Henderson, creator of Woodford Reserve, and is carried on by his son Wes.
The nose is vanilla with raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts. The palate brings vanilla, ripe fruit, toast and bitter chocolate, and the finish is clean and sweet with a hint of Madeira.
