Angel's Envy Bourbon Port Finish

Angel's Envy is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in ruby port wine casks. It is made in small batches of 8 to 12 barrels and aged for up to six years. After that initial ageing, the bourbon spends three to six months in the port casks. The colour is gold with reddish amber hues, nearly copper in tone. The nose is typically described as vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts. On the palate come ripe fruit, toast and bitter chocolate, and the finish is clean and sweet, with a hint of Madeira that fades slowly.
