Angel's Envy – Bourbon Port Finish

Angel's Envy Bourbon Port Finish is a Kentucky straight bourbon finished in ruby port casks. The bourbon is blended in small batches of 8 to 12 barrels and is typically aged for up to 6 years before the finishing begins. The finish lasts between three and six months in 60-gallon French oak barrels that held ruby port, imported from Portugal. The colour is gold with reddish amber hues, nearly copper. The nose offers subtle vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts. On the palate come vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and bitter chocolate, and the finish is clean and lingeringly sweet, with a hint of Madeira that slowly fades.
