Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is the original port-finished bourbon in the Angel's Envy range, made in Louisville, Kentucky.
The bourbon matures in new American white oak and is then finished in ruby port wine barrels. The producer blends the whisky both before and after that second stage, and no fixed age is assigned. It is bottled at 43.3% in a 75cl bottle.
The nose combines vanilla, raisin, maple syrup and toasted nuts. On the palate come ripe fruit, toast and bitter chocolate, followed by a finish of lingering sweetness.
