- Port wine barrel finish
This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Angel's Envy, finished in port wine barrels and sold in a 375ml bottle. The finish adds subtle flavour notes without overpowering the whiskey.
In the glass it is gold with reddish amber hues, close to copper in tone.
The nose is gentle, with vanilla, raisins, maple syrup and toasted nuts. On the palate come vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and bitter chocolate, followed by a clean, lingering sweetness with a hint of Madeira that fades slowly.
