Angel's Envy Rye is a rye whiskey finished in Caribbean rum barrels, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The extended time in rum wood adds richness and sweetness to the rye.
The whiskey is made at MGP in Indiana and bottled by Angel's Envy, a brand founded by Lincoln Henderson, creator of Woodford Reserve, and now carried on by his son Wes.
The nose offers citrus, caramel candy, maple sugar, vanilla, oak, hazelnut, spice and sherry wood. The palate is sweet rum, sherry wood and soft oak, leading to a finish that is both sweet and dry.
