This is a Kentucky bourbon from Angel's Envy, built on its standard bourbon as a base. Five-year-old bourbon is finished in three types of oak, each separately: second-fill Hungarian oak for about six months, new Chinkapin oak for about six months and new French oak for about three months. The three are then blended. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
The oak adds sweetness, spice and richness, and the result is nutty, sweet, spicy and oaky rather than the port-finished style of the regular Angel's Envy.
Flavours run from roasted peanuts and chocolate to exotic spices and sweet toasted vanilla beans.
