Angostura Bitters is a concentrated bitter, first made in 1824 in Venezuela, here in a 200ml bottle.
It is built on rum, with gentian and extracts of plants and spices. Its aromatic character made it a staple ingredient in cocktails, where a few drops lift drinks such as the mojito or the punch.
