This is a 10 year old single malt from Annandale, the Lowlands distillery in Dumfries and Galloway. It comes from a single fresh ex-bourbon cask, number 523, and was bottled at 57.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with 226 bottles drawn from the cask. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
It belongs to the Man O'Words label, the lighter, unpeated side of Annandale's range.
The nose opens with buttery sweetness, golden honey, ripe pear and soft vanilla cream. On the palate, gently stewed apples come with delicate floral notes. The finish is slightly waxy and long, with a lingering sweetness.
