Annandale – Man O' Words 2015 Sherry Cask (70cl, 60.4%)

This is a single cask Annandale from the Man O' Words range, distilled in 2015 and matured in a sherry butt. It is bottled at 60.4% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The cask was selected by the late Dr Jim Swan. It came from José y Miguel Martín in Spain and previously held sherry, rather than being virgin oak conditioned with it. Only 5% of Annandale's 2015 production is maturing in sherry wood. The palate is sweet and well integrated, with honey, toffee and vanilla cream, summer flowers, tropical melon and mango. The finish brings walnuts and almonds with dried plum and raisins.
