This is a 2016 single malt from Annandale in the Lowlands, part of the Man O' Words range and made by the late Dr Jim Swan. It is bottled at 59.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle, natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The cask was an American oak hogshead seasoned with oloroso sherry for two years before it was filled in 2016. In 2019 the whisky was re-racked into refill hogsheads, which slowed its maturation. It was five years old when bottled.
The nose has caramelising brown sugar, dates, raisins, Christmas cake, vanilla and salted caramel. The palate is spicy and tongue-coating, with hazelnut and walnut, and the finish is caramel.
