Storyman is a blended Scotch from Annandale Distillery, selected personally by the actor James Cosmo. Annandale's master blender Keith Law created it from a selection of the distillery's single cask single malts. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration, and 10,000 bottles were filled.
The blend draws on fresh and refill ex-bourbon barrels together with STR casks that previously held red wine from Burgundy.
The nose offers creamy toffee, caramel, vanilla and black pepper, with a faint trace of peat smoke. The palate brings pear drops, apricot yoghurt, creamy vanilla and a gentle hint of peat. The finish has wood spice and charred oak.
