Antica Distilleria Quaglia Liquore alla Camomilla

This is an Italian chamomile liqueur from Antica Distilleria Quaglia. Dried chamomile flowers are infused in alcohol, then cedar peel and spices are added, with vanilla pods especially noticeable. The recipe is traditional, applied in a modern way, with slow and gentle working. It is a bright, pale straw yellow with light golden glints. The nose is delicate and unmistakably fresh chamomile, with faint citrus behind. The palate is soft and enveloping, intense and focused on floral and spicy notes, with a long finish.
