APE Riserva is an Italian brandy in a 50cl bottle, bottled at 43%. It carries the Monarchia/Regno seal and dates from the 1930s or 1940s.
The label still calls it Cognac, a word Italian brandy was forbidden to use from 1951 onwards. That makes the bottle a reminder of an earlier era in Italian brandy, before the name was withdrawn.
