A 21-year-old rum from Jamaica, made by Appleton Estate, which harvests its own sugar cane for rum production.
It is among the more complex rums, with a spicy character alongside its sweetness that suits whisky drinkers. The nose has pleasant sweetness, marzipan, coffee and light tobacco notes, with fruit.
On the palate it is mouth-coating and complex, with marzipan sweetness, raisins, orange and dark chocolate, plus spicy oak. The finish is long-lasting and spicy, ending with sweet oak.
