Aqara Agave de los Andes Reposado (75cl, 40%)

Aqara Agave de los Andes Reposado is an agave spirit from Caraz in the Ancash region of Peru, made by the Marco Suarez Lara family and bottled at 40% vol in a 75cl bottle. It is made from Agave Americana Expansa Gentry and Agave Cordillerensis, harvested at around 10 years old and cooked for seven hours. After fermentation in stainless steel for three days, it is double distilled in copper pot stills, then rested for four months in new American oak barrels. Coffee, toffee and butterscotch come through on the nose and palate, with hints of vanilla and stone fruit.
