Ararat Akhtamar is an Armenian brandy made by the Yerevan Brandy Company, named after the legend of Akhtamar. It is distilled mainly from native Armenian grapes and aged for ten years in Caucasian oak casks. It comes in a 50cl bottle.
The colour is bright amber. The palate is layered, with dried plum, vanilla and gentle sweet spice such as cinnamon.
The texture is velvety and the finish persistent, with a faint peaty edge.
