Ardbeg Ten Years Old is a 10 year old single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered, which keeps more body and depth.
It is peaty and smoky, though the peat gives way to the natural sweetness of the malt.
The nose is smoky fruit, lemon and lime, with waxy dark chocolate. On the palate come crackling peat, tangy citrus, black pepper and cinnamon-spiced toffee, with brine, buttermilk and ripe banana. The finish is long and smoky, with tarry espresso, aniseed, toasted almonds and a trace of fresh pear.
