Ardbeg 10 Years Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, and the distillery's flagship and most traditional expression. It is a peated whisky in which the peat is balanced by an almost sweet taste.
The colour is a deep, bright yellow. The nose is peaty from the start, with malt, bread crust and smoke, then dark chocolate and a touch of iodine. The palate is broad and still led by peat, with a hint of citrus and spice. The finish is salty and long.
