Ardbeg – 10 Years (70cl)

Ardbeg 10 Years is the Islay single malt from Ardbeg, the distillery founded in 1815 by John McDougall. It is bottled in a 70cl bottle and is the traditional core of the range, with a firm peat character that gives way to a almost sweet taste. The nose is heavily peated, with vanilla, citrus and chocolate. The palate opens with a burst of peat, then vanilla sweetness balanced by lime, black pepper and cinnamon. The finish is savoury and smoky, with toasted almonds and fresh pear.
