A 12-year-old Ardbeg from Islay, bottled in 2018 at 51.9% ABV by the independent bottler North Star Spirits. The bottling comes from sherry casks and ran to 332 bottles.
North Star works in small batches, without chill-filtration and with natural colour. The nose is sharp peat with pineapple. The palate brings meaty, salted smoke with dark sherry, and the finish is lightly sweet with spicy notes.
