A 14 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, matured in a combination of Madeira and bourbon casks. It is the second release in a limited-edition trilogy exploring flavour hybrids through distinctive cask finishes.
The nose brings baked banana bread, syrup-soaked sponge pudding and treacle, with a whisper of burning cedarwood. On the palate there is zesty lime and juicy peach, then smoked fruit, baked bread, creosote, aniseed and antiseptic lozenges. The long finish has soft barley malt, nutmeg and peaty warmth, with clear Madeira cask influence.
