This is a limited edition Ardbeg single malt from Islay, distilled in 1975 and bottled in 1999 at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is heavily peated, in keeping with the distillery's style.
The nose is sweet and floral, with heather and lavender over a gentle smokiness. The palate is rich and oily with pronounced peat, cocoa and oak. The finish is long, with sweetness and peat smoke underlaid by subtle vanilla and malt.
