Ardbeg Y2K is a 23 year old Islay single malt, distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2023 at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled at the turn of the millennium from some of the final spirit made in the distillery's historic stills.
The whisky matured for over two decades in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
The palate is described as herbal and salty, with maritime soot and sweet vanilla fudge, and a touch of citrus zest. The finish is long and warming, with bonfire ash, dark chocolate and gentle oak spice.
