This is a single cask Ardbeg, distilled in 2000 and bottled at 21 years old, at a cask strength of 46.8% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The privately owned first-fill bourbon cask was filled on 18 September 2000 and matured in Ardbeg's warehouse number 3. It was bottled on 27 September 2021. The colour is deep gold.
The nose brings pine resin, milk chocolate, peppermint and nettles, with tarry scents and a touch of antiseptic once water is added. The palate is chewy, with chocolate sweetness and soft vanilla set against leather and aniseed, and sourdough bread at the finish.
