This is a 25-year-old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was put together from casks the distillery selected for this release.
The nose is smoky, with charred oak, dried spice, smoked meats, tangy citrus, vanilla, wax and tropical fruit. On the palate, sweet and building citrus meets pepper, candied banana and Seville orange peel, with dark toffee, aniseed and dark fruits.
The finish is rich and creamy, with whipped toffee, creamy truffle and a little soft smoke.
