Ardbeg 25 Year Old is an Islay single malt, matured in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is deeply smoky, as an Ardbeg should be, with closely woven flavours.
The nose brings smoke, pine resin and candle wax. The palate is peppery and spicy with a gentle sweetness and hints of citrus, along with tar that leads into the finish. That finish is long, fading with aniseed and toffee.
