A 16 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2006 at 46%. It is a limited edition, bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, and is described as very peaty. The name Airigh Nam Beist comes from Loch Arinambeast, one of the two water sources Ardbeg draws on. The other, Loch Uigeadail, gives its name to Ardbeg Uigeadail. It is among the first Ardbeg malts produced after the distillery reopened in 1989. For the first time, the barley was malted not by Ardbeg itself but by Port Ellen Maltings, to a specified recipe.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
