Ardbeg Airigh Nam Beist is an Islay single malt, distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2006 at 46% vol, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in oak casks.
The name is Gaelic and means the shelter or pasture of the animals. It is also the name of a small hill loch between Loch Uigeadail and Charlie's Dam, at the Ardbeg distillery.
The malt is described as creamy and smoky, full of woodsmoke, with notes of fennel and pine nuts and a topping of tingling lime.
