Ardbeg Alligator Exclusive Committee Release is an Islay single malt released in 2011 for Ardbeg Committee members. Its name refers to the scale-like cracks created by level 4 charring of its virgin American white oak casks. It is bottled at 51.2% ABV without chill-filtration.
Heavy peat and deeply charred oak define its character. Coastal smoke and medicinal peat sit alongside dark chocolate, sweet barbecue sauce, ginger and rich vanilla cream.
