A limited special bottling from Ardbeg, named after alligator charring. The term describes burning the inside of oak casks before they are filled, leaving charred wood that looks like alligator scales.
It is described as an unexpected combination of smoked ginger root, spicy barbecue sauces, chocolate, cumin and warm oak. A few drops of water bring out an intense bouquet.
