An Oa is a single malt from Ardbeg on Islay, bottled at 46.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It sits alongside the distillery's core expressions, which include the 10 year old, Uigeadail and Corryvreckan.
The whisky is a vatting of malt matured in PX sherry casks, virgin oak and first-fill bourbon casks.
The nose offers dark chocolate, aniseed and peat smoke. On the palate there is butterscotch, black pepper, cloves and tobacco, followed by a long, powerful finish.
