Ardbeg An Oa is an Islay single malt named after the Mull of Oa, the rounded peninsula in the south of the island that shelters the distillery from the worst of the Atlantic weather. It is bottled at 46.6% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is a combination of spirit matured in different casks: Pedro Ximenez sherry, new charred oak and first-fill bourbon. These are brought together in a gathering vat, where the flavours have time to settle together. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
