Anamorphic is a Committee Release from Ardbeg on Islay, bottled on 17 May 2023 at 48.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a single malt, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Its distinctive feature is the cask preparation. The cask heads were removed and deeply scored to expose more wood, which was then charred further in a 'High Mocha' char.
The whisky is described as layered, moving between four elements: sweetness, smoke, herbs and a sharper bite.
