Anamorphic is an Islay single malt from Ardbeg, made exclusively for members of the Ardbeg Committee. Its casks receive a treatment known as high mocha, which softens the more familiar briny shades and brings out chocolate and mocha notes.
The whisky has a bronze colour and moves through four phases on the palate: sweet, smoky, herbal and spicy.
The nose is broad and rich, with biscuit, earth, soot, tar, aniseed, fennel and jasmine. The palate is peppery and warm, finishing on bitter almonds and molasses.
