This is a 13 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, the first bottling in its limited Anthology Series.
The whisky spent 13 years maturing in rare Sauternes wine casks, and was then married with classic Ardbeg ex-bourbon whisky.
After more than a decade in cask, the rising smoke gives way to sweetness as Ardbeg's distinctive character meets the rich Sauternes influence.
