Ardbeg – Ardcore Committee Release (50.1%)

Ardbeg Ardcore Committee Release is a heavily peated Islay single malt, made with roasted black malt barley. It is bottled at 50.1% ABV, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The nose is spicy and savoury, with marmite, burnt toast, chicory, charcoal and coffee grounds, a herbal Ardbeg top note, and bonfire smoke and molasses behind. The palate is fiery and spicy, with cocoa powder, dark chocolate, peanut brittle toffee and smoked lime, then aniseed and malty biscuit. The finish is sweeter and long, with treacle toffee, soot and smoke.
