Ardbeg Ardcore Committee Release is the 2022 Ardbeg Day bottling, a single malt made with black malt roasted to the extreme. The malt defines its profile, which has been likened to biting on a spiky ball.
The nose is spicy and savoury, with Marmite, burnt toast, chicory charcoal and coffee grounds. The palate is fiery, with cocoa powder, dark chocolate, peanut brittle toffee, smoked lime, soot and bonfire embers. The finish is sweeter and long, with treacle toffee, soot and smoke.
