Ardbeg Arrrrrrrdbeg is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle at 51.8% ABV, matured wholly in ex-rye casks. It was released to mark the retirement of Mickey Heads, the distillery manager, and it is non-chill-filtered.
On the nose, smoked banana and pear give way to vanilla and rye. The palate is spicy and fruity, with aniseed, smoked toffee and a hint of sourdough biscuit. The finish is long, with gentle smoke lingering.
