Ardbeg Corryvreckan is an Islay single malt bottled by the distillery at 57.1% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from one of the most dangerous whirlpools, in the north of Islay. The whisky was matured in bourbon casks and is non-chill-filtered, with no added colour.
It is deep, peaty and peppery, with a firm structure. The first impression is smoky steak in pepper sauce and crisp seaweed, followed by deep espresso with dark fruit and bitter almonds.
