Corryvreckan is an Islay single malt from Ardbeg, in a 70cl bottle with a box. It is a limited edition, bottled without chill filtration.
The name comes from the Gaelic for the famous whirlpool found north of Islay. The colour is a deep gold.
The nose opens with apple and red berries, which give way to peat, tobacco and spice. The palate is full and firm, with fruit returning. The finish is almost creamy and very long.
