Ardbeg – Corryvreckan Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 57.1%)

Ardbeg Corryvreckan is an Islay single malt bottled at 57.1% vol. in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from the famous whirlpool north of Islay, and is described as the peatiest, smokiest and most complex of the Ardbeg Islay whiskies. The distillery was founded in 1815. The colour is a rich amber. On the nose come tar rope, tar oil and linseed oil, rounded by dark chocolate, blackcurrant and muscovado sugar. The palate is full and viscous with pepper steak, crisp seaweed and tarry espresso, and the finish brings violet notes.
