Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is a limited edition Islay single malt, bottled at 46 per cent ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Ardbeg made without a purifier, the piece of equipment that normally balances the peaty smoke against the fruity sweetness the distillery is known for. Distilling with less reflux lets heavier vapours pass into the spirit, which shifts the flavour towards more intense smoke. The name refers to this, and the artwork on the packaging reflects it. The whisky was introduced at Ardbeg Day 2023.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
